One of Two Banana Cakes

This one had lemon-cream cheese frosting. The other had dairy-free chocolate icing. Two cakes, and roses for every lady in the house!

We have the same china pattern!

I actually [wedding] registered for it because because my mom and grandmother had a fit for it, and when you marry, you register. but have rarely used it. Never been a pink girl except for living peonies.

I just had to tell you this...my 2 year old girl just saw the photo of the cake and said, "aw...a wittle birfday cake, Mum.....can you move over da birfday cake so I can see all of it?.." Kids are so cute and innocent sometimes.

A teasing piccy-yummy and healthy too! I have a blackened banana waiting to be turned into a treat in my banana hammock. A good reminder!

That looks so good and is so beautifully presented. Would you please share the recipe with your readers? I would love to make the one with lemon-cream cheese frosting.

Hi, my name is Beth, It is a pleasure for the chance to correspond with you! I am a sewer and a knitter, a mother and a Christian. I just wanted to let you know real quick how much you have inspired me with your blog, You have given me a new look at homemaking that society doesnt show. Love of family and giving of ourselves is the best thing in the world. It wasnt until i had my baby that i believe i really found myself and discovered true happiness, simply because i was free to care about something other than myself all the time. God is so good that way. Anyway, i already talked to much. Thank you for who you are.

Your blog is so inspiring! Would you mind posting a short entry with the recipe for this cake (and the icing please :o) - I would really love to make it this weekend as I have some very ripe bananas crying out to be made into a delicious treat like this!

I'm fasting sweets for Lent. Banana cake sounds good. "Get thee behind me Satan." Oops - sorry, I didn't mean you!
