Ladies Vintage Housedress: Advance 5371

Hello, housedress! Your rickrack looks mighty fine. I think I'll sew you.

You make me want to fluff up the couch cushions!

I love your *real organdy* collar. Oh, it's from Denver Fabrics? Very nice! And that charming print--red with anything is my favorite combination!

You match my geranium. And your wrap styling makes for a perfect fit. I love you!

Anna, I love your housedress! I wish I could find a pattern for myself of a housedress. I've tried, but can't seem to be able to find one, or rather bid on one and win :(

Love your fabric selections also!

Gorgeous. Almost too pretty to save for wearing only around the house.

What a beautiful dress!
I found my way here from the Sense and Sensibility forums (I'm Daybreak) and after spending *far* too much time reading your blog over the last few days, I want to move in with you! It all sounds so idyllic. You've also half convinced me to homeschool the children I don't have (yet)!

I think the geranium might be a wee jealous of that beautiful finery. :) Too cute for words.

That dress just looks absolutely perfect. And I don't know about 'house' dress. I think that should be seen by the outside world! It's beautiful. I love the wrap style.

You always make me want to get the sewing machine out! Very pretty dress...Looks like June Cleaver, but I guess that's the looks you are going for. If I had the figure I'd wear it in a minute!
I always enjoy reading your blog & seeing all of your projects.
Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful! Love the red rick-rack. Your light-heartedness in this & the last post were quite refreshing. Congrats on being an auntie again. So glad Clara could loan her services, all moms need a girl like her.

Blessings for Easter,
Leslie

Gasp! Look at the measurements on that size "18" pattern! That means I would have been a 12 in about fifth grade... that is too sad to even think about. Diet starts now.

Have been wanting to tell you for ages that I love your photography. Your photos are so full of natural light. How DO you do that?? (I'm sure some windows would help.) Would love a post on how to take great pics, unless you have already done that, in which case I would really appreciate the url.

Thank you!
Sally

Dear Anna,
I'm sitting here in my pretty "going out/socializing" (3/4sleeves)Mennonite dress... We went to church the last two Sundays. And I wore "going to Church dresses" (long-sleeves).
Both the church-going and feminine, modest Christian dresses are because of your influence in my life...
Bless you, real good.
