Tiny Cobblers

I think it is Pyrex Inspiration Week around here. Yesterday I did my weekly duck into the thrift shop during Clara's piano lesson and found seven of these pyrex mugs. And they were very clearly saying "Tiny cobblers!" to me.

I used a ball of pie crust dough from the freezer, cutting into approximate sevenths. Made up some blueberry pie filling to fill the mugs, and then plopped a circle of dough in each cup. And they have plenty of headroom for dropping a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

  2. If that whole setup--the mugs and mini-cobblers with plenty of room for ice cream--isn't perfect, I don't know what is. I love Pyrex.

  3. Sweet! Very sweet and a great idea. What is it about these dishes with minds of their own - just tonight my puch cups told me they wanted to be filled with chocolate pudding.

  9. How funny..those mugs are my corelle ware pattern. Thank you Elise for the tip on the Waldorf salad location. If I had eyes in my head(as my Grandma used to say)I would have seen the search button!

  13. Another great idea for using the Pyrex! I also loved the idea of using the divided serving dish for crackers and cheese. Thanks for helping us think outside the box --or, outside the Pyrex!
