Lovely roses, and lovely vases! I myself currently have a row of them in my room, from various recitals. You seem to have such an eye for beauty, and such a gift for showing it to us! Thank you.
Hello! I love reading your blog. It is beautiful and quite inspiring to me. I wonder if you'd be willing to share some thoughts about creativity and productivity amid the demands of homeschooling several children. (I also have 5 dc and a legal background but I don't seem to manage my time as well as you do :)) I'm sure you're busy---just a "topic thought" if you're interested in sharing!
Like Vera, I too am always impressed at how much you seem to achieve. Please do give tips on time management. I had resigned myself to thinking either you are born withit or not. My talents lie in cooking and creative play with my children but I always struggle to keep my house as beautiful as I would like it to be. Your blog is the inspiration that makes me want to keep trying to improve. Thanks Anna!
The linen you've used for the aprons I have found wonderful for throw pillows. I sew with a 1 1/2 -2" flange, with a deep overlay on back.I use only down or feather for my pillow inserts. I prefer the natural linen color but have found the white and also black. Love the repurposed linen. Mim
I am an evangelical Christian. I have two daughters whom I homeschool: Bella (15), and Daisy (8), and three older children: Giles (21), a college graduate, Felix (19), a college junior, and Clara (17), a college freshman. I'm 42 years old and happily married to my Dear Composer. We live in a 1920's school converted into a home, outside of town. And God is good.
Feel free to Pin my photos, but please link back to the page you found them on.
Photography
Photography is an important part of life at my house. Photos that appear here are taken by Giles, by the Composer, and by me. Giles is a real, paid photographer, and he uses a Sony Alpha. Most of the photography prior to September 2008 is his. Since then I have done most of the shooting and I use a Konica Minolta. Additionally, the Composer offers me nice shots on occasion, often from his little Canon point and shoot. I've given up trying to note who's done what. Thanks for your interest!

I love your vases! I picked up a few for 50 cents each a few weeks ago. They look so pretty. Thanks for the great ideas.

God's blessings.
They look lovely. :-)

Beautiful...I can't seem to take such wonderful photos that let so much light in!

Every time I take a picture these days, I say to myself, "Hmmmm, I wonder how PVS would angle this? I wonder if I'm getting enough color?"
