Daisy in a Corduroy Smock

A length of mossy green corduroy at the thrift store . . . bias binding made from a vintage dress . . .

My favorite Big Pocket vintage smock pattern . . .

Daisy will never wear it but a girl can dream.

Beautiful color! Was Daisy asking to hold the tree in the second picture? She sure looks satisfied in the last! =) Very sweet.

Where do you find these cute smock patterns? I'd love to make some for my daughter.

Anna, if you decide to sell it, would you consider selling it to me directly? I'd love it for my daughter (though she's only two, but I can wait!).

How cute! And that 3rd pic, especially. Maybe she'll wear it for Mom on Christmas Day - wish hard!

Does this come in an adult size? I adore the mossy color!

Daisy is as always, the cutest model ever! What a shame she has such an aversion to smocks ~ they look so cute on her.

She looks like an adorable little elf!
I'm afraid I can't get myself to wear smocks or aprons either. Consequently nearly everything I own has a spot on it in one place or another.

Dear Anna and Giles,

I check this blog nearly every day. Sometimes I comment about the gift of beauty you share. Sometimes I just look and enjoy the photos here. Now I am posting to thank you.

I am an amateur photographer who stopped seeing a few years ago. I was still behind the lens of my camera, but I was composing, forcing, extrapolating - never seeing. The photos you have shared from your life helped to open my eyes again. You gave me courage to try to see where I couldn't see, and helped me begin to dream again.

Giles, I wish you all the best as you pursue your dream at art school. I am a college-dropout jealous of your training. Don't lose sight of the things that mean the most to you. Keep your heart alive. Always look for what your Father sees in what you find to capture. Don't be afraid to take chances, to create, to live.

Here is my wish for your very merry Christmas!

I just love smocks! They are as dear to my heart as aprons and I hope to have a collection of them for my daughters and myself one day.

I am dreaming about using my sowing machine when I look at your blog... I hope I will find the time to make such lovely things for my daughters and not wait so long that I have to make them for my granddaughters...
