A Scrap Quilt for Bella

You knew it was coming.

Bella's scrap quilt is done in blues, like the one for Felix, but with a slight shift of the color wheel I left blue-green behind and went with blue-purple.

Something about these blue variations is so powerful to me--very eye-filling.

See what I mean?

What an amazing amount of sewing your must do to have so many scraps of blue fabrics for both Felix and Bella! And where do you find the time? You are truly amazing! What a lovely gift for Bella!

I *LOVE* it!!!! Blues are my cup of tea. Thank you for sharing these. I have it in my head that I *AM* going to get one of these made and then shoot for making each one of my four children one as well...
We will see how quickly I can turn them out.
Blessings,
Chas

Beautiful!! I'm still collecting bits of fabric with the hope that one day I will make a quilt. Love Nigella Lawson too!

It's beautiful! I was so inspired by all of your quilts that I just started making a twin-sized quilt for my son, for when he moves out of his crib and into his first bed. I had to buy most of the fabric, since I didn't have many scraps (just started sewing again in January, after probably a 15 year hiatus!). I've never made a quilt before, but your pictures and instructions made it sound easy enough, and I finished piecing the top in about a week, and am looking forward to working on the backing and quilting this weekend, once I decide which way I want to do the quilting. So thank you for the beautiful photos and instructions you've posted recently!

Very soothing, esp. in warm weather days. I was just thinking a few hours ago, "where's Bella's quilt?" :)

Simply beautiful! Scrappy quilts are my favorite. I find I gravitate toward them whenever I look through magazines for a quilt to make.
The color combination you used is lovely, very soothing to the eyes.

It reminds me of September...and not just because sapphire is the birthstone. Something about deep blue skies and a touch of red. It's beautiful.

I think this is my favorite. I'm feeling a little bitter about missing those quilt totes.
