Cabinets on the Wall

While this picture hardly does justice to their splendor, it does offer proof that my new cabinet units are painted and mounted on the walls and filled with fabric. Sigh of pleasure. I love their sliding glass doors. And the fact that they are hung so securely that the Composer has instructed us to take cover under them in case of a tornado.

You're a lucky, lucky woman! Who knew I'd ever drool over cabinets... but with the my growing fabric collection--oh!--how I covet pretty cabinets! :D

Ooh! I _do_ like the idea of glass doored cabinets for fabric! Mine is all currently in a variety of boxes and bags, because I don't have space for cupboards. But glass doored means you can use it for 'decoration', _and_ see what you have! _Fabulous_!

Mine is in the attic in one of those big plastic bins, and I'm often going up and down. You are fortunate, indeed!

I am still searching for a cabinet or armoire to store all my fabric - a pile that seems to grow everytime I look at it.

How nice! The glass window idea is so neat...then you can enjoy your beautiful fabrics all day long! :-)

When I first saw those cabinets you were fixing up, I must admit I got a little twinge of jealousy. What perfect storage solutions! I can't wait for the day when I can get some decent organizational furniture in my sewing room...

Ever since we moved into our house, I've been wanting cabinets. I'm so glad you have some! My cloth is all jumbled up in plastic boxes (and on the floor . . .).

I hope you'll show us some more views when they're all done.

I haven't posted before but I've been reading for about a year now, I think. I love the beauty and simplicity of your posts and the gentle family humour.
That's why I'm posting as the tornado comment tickled my funny bone.
My husband once built a cabinet and told me "Well, the building may fall down or there may be an earthquake but this cabinet will still be here!"

It must be a manly pride thing
:-)

Thank you for such a lovely blog and sharing your life.
