A Knitting Day for Clara

Clara started a new knitting project today, these daisy stitch hand-warmers from Purl Bee. She's working hers in a wool/mohair blend and is just about to make a hole for her thumb. Beyond what her mama can do!

I think I will give those cuties a try. The girls will love them as christmas gifts. Currently I am working on a vintage crochet bed jacket in the most delicious peakcock blue. I can't wait for it to be finished. :)

just wondering if clara might put some pairs of those on your etsy site.

i can't knit at all, and those would be great for the "warm" winters here in GA.

Oh, Anna and all -
Hasten to Goosey's blog (handmadebygoosey.blogspot.com) and get a load of her May 5, 2009 post. Sakes alive, what a quilt!

Clara is such a talented young lady! I've got this pattern on my to-do list - it looks really cute. She picked a lovely color. can't wait to see them finished.

My mother made some from that pattern out of a wonderfully soft bamboo yarn. I applaud Clara for her knitting skills...I'm only a couple months younger than her and can barely knit a plain square potholder. :-/ Can't wait to see the finished product.

So cute! And thanks for sharing where she found the pattern, I have bookmarked it for future use.

Soon it will be time to have Avianna where your beautiful knit dress...she looked so cute in it last year. I am working on a pair of knitted bell bottoms for her to wear underneath it. (*my first pattern I've followed without help.)
