Nothing Hard

"Five is when people go to school. But I won't go to school. I'll homeschool. But nothing hard."

So we're keeping it all soft. Just that little bit of reading practice, writing a few letters every day, and Daisy's favorite, "plussing." We usually set up a pencil store and I buy colored pencils from her. A delicious shopkeeper and pupil.

I can't say how much I love this, and the way Daisy is setting the tone for her 'schooling.' It seems your confidence in doing so has come with experience. I like that and I trust it.

So cute. The 6yo boy I work with gets a little bit sooky when he thinks something is too hard. To which I reply, "That's OK. Just keep on trying. You don't have to get it perfect the first time but you do need to keep practicing".

I thought Daisy was older. She looks so grown up! My Ellie is at the same stage. Nothing hard, just lots of fun.
Today she said to me "Home schooling is the bestest because i get to be around my pretty mum all day"
Awww shucks

We're at the "nothing hard" stage with one of mine this year, too. I love it :)

Well, goodness, she's just a doll isn't she?! Sounds like the perfect way to keep it "soft" and fun!

Your family is so beautiful. I have a Margaret, but we call her by the nickname "Daisy." :) I am an admirer of all your sewing projects!

How sweet! That is a wonderful time to be homeschooling - when they are so young and playing & learning go hand-in-hand!

Blessings!

We love reading your posts about Daisy. My 5 year-old will get up on my lap and scross through all the pictures, wanting to look at "just the ones of Daisy." She starts homeschooling this month too . . . just like Daisy.

I love the pics of your precious daughter! We are making the leap into homeschooling soon. I would love a to see a blog on how you organize your homeschooling endeavour! I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed right now thinking about it, and we are even planning to keep it simple; reading/writing lessons and some Math U See!
