Bella Masters Phyllo
Tell me this isn't living: I sat and sewed for an hour this afternoon while Bella put together an amazing dish for dinner. Curried zucchini and chickpeas (with spices from scratch!) turned into a phyllo crust.
The girl can cook anything, and she sings while she does it!

That IS living. And Bella can come sing and cook here any day. My best friend is an amazing, gifted, trained soprano, and I love having her visit me--she sings all the time, and it makes the house so happy.

Bella, you are a domestic goddess already. I can offer Miss Bella bed and board in Australia any time she wants to cook and sing in my kitchen. :) I must look up that recipe as tiny baby zucchinis are in season now.

Oh my goodness, phyllo dough is something I've found soooooo difficult to work with, never mind making from scratch! I stand in awe of your daughter!

I'd love to put Bella and my teen daughter together for a day. I imagine we would all eat well . . . ;-) My daughter loves to bake; not so much the singing, but she'd help if Bella was singing. ;-)

When the tasks and stresses of raising very little ones starts getting to me and I start to feel overwhelmed, I think about the days in the future when they'll be old enough to do things such as what your Bella does. At that point, a part of me smilingly looks forward to it and another part wants to cry at the thought of my sweet babies growing up.
That is living, for sure. I recently saw Ina from Barefoot Contessa do a phyllo dough recipe and was thinking of trying it. Thanks for the reminder. Very nice Bella! It's beautiful just to look at. I can only imagine how yummy it must be.
