He grabbed his camera first thing, 
while the chocolate chip pancakes were still on the griddle,
to document all the warm white light, 
and the sweet small critters.

Oh, Anna, what a high compliment that is to you! That you have been able to create such an oasis of beauty, and that your son recognizes and appreciates that...wow, that is wonderful. The hearts' desire of many of us women who long to arrange our homes in such a way that there will be true beauty in abundance there. Well done!

That is wonderful! (And I'm sure Giles is happy to be home for Thanksgiving!) I think lots of good natural light in a house makes even the most everyday things seem more beautiful. I'm glad that when my mom built the house we now live in, she designed it for lots of light!
