A beautiful day, indeed! I love ivories--my brother-in-law was married in his wife's native Devon, England and her sisters, the bridesmaids, all wore cream/ivory dresses and shoes of their own choosing. So pretty. I love creamy furniture, too.
First of all, I just love your blog. A friend told me about it and I couldn't be more inspired by your life. And I must admit, my 11 year old daughter hears every once-in-a-while, "Just guess what Bella baked now!" My Ellis loves to bake too :-)
But here's my question... silly silly but here goes: I love how you wear dresses and skirts most of the time. But how do you stay warm in them? Is it wool tights or a better secret? Just wondering so I can stay warm in my skirts too. Blessings on your family this cold and icy weekend.
This is absolutely my favorite palette. I'm obsessed with gray and ivory these days. I've seemed to have redone most of my house in this scheme! I love that gray can be "warm" when it's paired with cozy textures!
What can I add to what the others said? The only thing to do on such days is what you're doing - taking advantage of that meditative feeling that comes on when it snows. And your colors - so soothing. You're a real inspiration, Anna.
Although I haven't been able to wear the color well or have it unstained in my house full of children I found this post beautiful. Such a smooth, soothing color.
Soothing to the soul.....so beautiful! I am inspired to go redo even a small corner of my home. Did Bella make that wonderful cheescake? Of course she did....
I have followed your blog for some time now and I'm finally curious enough to say and ask... Anna, you seem to have a large following from Down Under (compared to other blogs I follow)...how did you all find this blog? I found it when my Mom sent me a link to a post about homeschooling. Thanks, Colleen in Iowa
I didn't realise that ivory could be so lovely. Anna that throw is beautiful, if you know the source of the pattern I would be grateful to learn of it.

That throw is gorgeous! I love me some cable-knit!

Bliss.
Love your blog, love your wardrobe and your girls, and wish I was in that cool scene now instead of baking here in our Australian summer
A beautiful post, as always :) Thanks for making such a gorgeous place on the net.
very pretty!
Gorgeous!
so, so gorgeous. I love your site Anna, and this post is such a great reason why!
Beautiful, so calm and peaceful looking. That cheesecake looks fantastic.
Lovley photos. I just made a top with that same neckline, it is my new favorite style of blouse!

I love your frosty pictures ~ I may need to come back and visit when the mercury hovers around 37C/98F here later. At 7am it's already 26C/78F.
Enjoy your snow and the cosiness of inside.
Anna, is your couch slipcovered? If so did you make it? I would love to see!
