Daisy's Winter Wardrobe, Dress Four
Brought to you yet again by the colors blue and brown, here is Daisy's final new winter dress. It's a sweet satiny cotton from the high-end quilting shop (on sale). Crossover front, frills on the 3/4 sleeves, and a round of robin's egg blue ribbon at the hem.
We had extraordinary luck with tights from Mini Boden--I got a $25 voucher in the mail, and after ordering tights in blue and brown, Boden ended up owing me $5!
I particularly adore these brown tights on her dainty legs because the tiny flash of blue at the heel puts me in mind of a lady mallard. They have all those quiet brown feathers, then on the wing just one little patch of iridescent purply-blue.

She has a lovely wardrobe...the colors suit her. Oh, and those tights? Love them!
Lovely! The blue-brown aspect to Daisy's winter wardrobe is serene. I especially like the sleeve length choice...long enough to be warm, yet short enough to be practical.
Such a sweet wardrobe and I love this flash of blue as well!
Especially sweet!
Enjoy having a little girl to sew for and "dress up"!
I am a grown-up woman and I want to dress like Daisy.
:)
She has wonderful taste!
This is a blue-brown loving girl for sure!! And they are all just adorable, as well as her accessories!!
All ready for the Fall/Winter Season! Enjoy Daisy...

I didn't think I could like any dress for Daisy more than dress No.1 but, for me, this one wins by a hair! The sleeves are an especially nice touch. Daisy is a fortunate girl, having such a nice collection of dresses for this winter! :o)

oh you are so right about the flash of color. How sweet to think of your little girl that way too.
I adore blue and brown together.
Anna,
I've been out of the loop with your blog for quite a long time, but I'm delighted to see that you're back to regular blogging.
I can hardly believe how much Daisy has grown since I first "met" her through your blog several years ago. This dress (and the other ones you made for her) are just beautiful. She's a lovely girl.
May you have a peaceful, refreshing weekend!
A friend just told me about your blog. I was wondering if you could share what patterns you have been using?
I loved all of her fabric choices and just had to come back and look at her sweet dresses again. I think this one is my favorite. It's the frills on the 3/4 sleeves.
