The Christmas Card Bell

Feeling very festive this year, but also wanting to keep the house understated. It's so full of festive people it hardly seems to need decoration!

Here's my Christmas card display this year--instead of taping them to the door frame as we've done every year since 1974, we're putting them under the bell jar. Just as beautiful, and a little quieter to the eye.

A nice idea.

Love this beautiful idea! What other creative (or practical!) uses do you have for the bell jar throughout the year?

We always place ours on our french doors. This is a good idea!

Thanks for the inspiration as always. :)

I love crafts and decorations, but I think this idea doesn't do justice to the Christmas cards...because they can't all be seen from that jar.
You're lucky enough to get so many Christmas cards- why not display them as before?

I feel like I just got an early Christmas present! I "accidently" hit the bookmark for your site and found lots of fresh material. I can't wait to catch up with your family; you've been sorely missed.

I love this idea, too. The card on the doorframe approach is one I have taken, but it resulted in too much visual competition/clutter for my eye, which needs simplicity!
