In Which We Surprise Giles, a Lot

. . . by going to see him! Graduation is next week, and we wanted to see his work and visit with his friends before everyone got spread out and distracted with the graduation craziness.


Love his work!!


Love his friends! We cooked together. And talked about patterns and fabric.


We snuggled on the couch together. Cecile on the left. She is so charming and beautiful. And she's dating Giles! We loved her. Muriele on the right. Muriele is from Haiti and is extremely outgoing. Everytime she saw the Composer she stretched her arms out for a giant hug, shouting, "Daddy! Daddy!" We loved her too.


And so many others. What a wonderful community he has there--but only for one more week, which is hard to wrap our minds around. But that's graduation for you.

    I love this! Lucky Giles to get such a surprise. His friends sound wonderful (how I miss my college days when I read this!). That looks like some kitchen where you're cooking....!

    I hope he enjoys this last week. The friendships forged in college are so unlike any other time of life--I hope he has a great last week with his friends. My best friends from college and I are scattered but still so close--12 years after graduation has passed. Enjoy, Giles! They sound and look lovely and fun.

    I cannot believe he's graduating already! It seems like just yesterday you were posting that he graduated from high school! He is such a handsome young man. I can't wait to hear about the many things he will soon accomplish.

    What happy times for Giles - here's hoping we get to have a peek at some of his work too!
    And those beautiful young women - you can see the light and sweetness in their faces. With the women in his family, it is no wonder Giles knows how to pick 'em.
