Clara Knits a Quick Beret
Miss Speedy Needles cast this beret onto her size sevens when we pulled out for our overnight camping trip. It was finished by the next day. Jealous!
She used a beautiful Rowan Tapestry yarn which contains wool and soy fibers and is the tiniest bit variegated, as you can see from the striping on the hat. She chose the pattern from the many options at Ravelry. And when I asked her if she ended with the right number of stitches, she looked at me funny. She always does, I guess.

So beautiful! Love that yarn and the pattern is lovely!
I'm jealous too! That would have taken me forever! Thanks for sharing some knitting love :) Very pretty!
Yay for ravelry! Such an excellent selection of patterns indeed.
Very pretty beret and cute wrap up at the end about the funny look. :)
Very pretty yarn. Clara is one of those who plan ahead - another virtue.

She's a beautiful knitter. My daughter just picked her knitting up again after years and I'm hoping she'll start enjoying it more.
Great beret and a good job Clara! I can't imagine why Clara looked at you funny Anna ... :)
Nicely done! It looks very cute on, too! Is that seed stitch? It kind of looks like it. I didn't know there were yarns with soy fibers in them now. That's interesting.
Awesome! A girl after my own heart, (tall and loves to knit). My hobby phases go opposite from yours. I sew and embroider in the summer and knit in Fall/Winter. I especially like to knit in Jan and Feb, but then I fizzle out once it starts getting warmer. I do have some socks on needles though for waiting at appts. That is such a lovely hat made with beautiful yarn!
Clara did a beautiful job of knitting a lovely beret. (in MD)
