I Sewed Slippers

. . for Bella. The pattern is from Heather Ross's Weekend Sewing, a beautifully-photographed-but-much-reviled book. Sadly, I can't recommend the pattern as the instructions were not the best and (grr) the sizing was *way* off. However, these corduroy and wool felt slippers will do for running around the dorm at vocal camp next week!

Oh! I just ordered this book today! I have heard that there are tons of issues with it, but I could not resist! The lounge pants must be mine. Hopefully they will fit when finished! =) Very cute slippers, even with the problems.

Much reviled? I haven't looked at reviews. We have it at the library, but I haven't been tempted to buy it for myself. Still, your slippers are cute, and it's always fun to make something new. I'll have to go read what people are saying about the book.

I have this book and couldn't agree more with your description.
The slippers are charming, great job on making it work despite the pattern flaws!

I tried this pattern awhile back - I thought it was me!! Totally not worth the effort.
