A Ribbed Sweater for Bella
From Vintage Knits by Sarah Dallas. I lowered the neckline about an inch and a half, and made 3/4 sleeves. Dad gum, this sweater is short-waisted! Bella is petite and it's still on the short side.
In fact, because it's ribbed, it knits up rather small all over. But very nice, with that cotton drape.
Clara will provide her with a matching beret.

Vintage sweaters are all short by our standards- because they are designed to be worn with HIGH waisted skirts and trousers :) She does look cute in it though!
What a gorgeous colour for a gorgeous girl!
Yowzer! That is a gorgeous sweater especially on Bella! And in my favorite color, too!
Very pretty on Bella....& nicely knitted by you! My older daughter just finished a ribbed cardigan for herself in a lovely soft grey. She entered it in our county fair...took home a Blue! :o)

Good job, Anna!! Please tell me - about the neckline ribbing - did you pick up stitches, or make it separately, then sew it on?

Lovely. I do especially like the color. In fact, I just bought some yarn for myself a couple of weeks ago in a similar shade! Alas, though, it will be quite awhile until my project is done.
Renee, there's a reason for that! I hadn't knitted anything in forever! Lisa, the neckline ribbing is picked up.
I love it. It looks great on Bella. I am still trying to learn. I think I may be a hopeless case.
Congratulations on the great sweater! Your lovely daughter wears it well.
So beautiful! It looks just perfect.
Gorgeous!! I have been knitting purple sweaters for my baby girl. I love the thought that when she is as big as Bella is, I can still knit sweaters for her.
Gorgeous color on a lovely girl.
