The Side Eye
When Frederick looks at something potentially dangerous, he uses the Side Eye. Always employed for conversations with the Composer, and often for the camera, but not for me. Frederick always puts his head down for me, just in case I feel like offering him a tickle.
Better safe than sorry.

I've never been a bird person, but Frederick is changing my mind every time I read about him. And his side eye. :)
That cracks me up! I also have been known to use the "side eye" with my children when they are thinking about doing something dangerous!

Oh an African Grey! My grandmother has one. "Bud" has been a member of the family for over ten years.
They are beautiful and fun!
