A Round Crocheted Cushion Cover
Some of my last scraps of post-ripple-blanket yarn made up into a round cushion cover. I had the worst time crocheting a simple circle! This is not perfect at all, but it fits over the curve of the pillow because I forced it to.
And I so cheated--I just slipstitched my round thing onto the top of an existing throw pillow.

Ahh this brings back memories! My grandmother used to have round crochet cushions just like this. Actually she still does, unless they've worn out.
I tried crocheting a purse from a pattern that I found online that started out round, too. It grew way to large for a purse, so now it's holding my extra yarn. Yours looks like what mine *should* have looked like. Sort of a hexagon? Anyway, love your invention!
It looks good, Anna! I don't know what your problems are, but I always "yank" the stitches when I crochet, which draws things up; fine if you're doing an afghan, but anything round or square doesn't lie flat for me. Still, with this bag I'm making it seems to be okay because a bag isn't supposed to lie flat. :]

it's just gorgeous ...
very pretty! I adore a quick sewing therapy project!
Leftover yarn projects should be fun and stress free. Good for creating new ideas.......looks like it was a success.
