More Trees in Milk Glass
Loving these little milk glass cups: ashtrays or candy dishes? It's fun to have three identical, and they're perfect for holding my fabric trees.

Love them, Anna. The fabric you chose goes perfectly with the milk glass. I'd say these are candy dishes...seems to me that ashtrays tend to be flatter, that is, close to the tabletop to make it easier to use.

This is a wee bit off topic, but you seem to have a really good scope on all things vintage and dainty...so perhaps you could guide me toward a resource.
When I was a little bitty girl my greatgrandmother gave me her Tatter.
She showed me how to use it, and for that one day I was able to do a few things.
She died shortly after that and I kept the little tool safely tucked away for all these years (I am in my 50's now).
Do you by any chance know how to make lace doilies by tatting?
And if not, do you happen to know a link or resource to help me figure out what to do with this precious little metal tool with the slide in bobbin that my greatgrandmother gave me so long ago?

I have a milkglass dish just like those! I have my earrings hanging around the edge, and some in the middle along with rings and bracelets. I don't have much jewelry so it pretty much holds my entire collection!
Grace, so sorry your comment sat lost for so long! Clara does tatting, and she taught herself from the Reader's Digest Guide to Needlework, as well as googling some helpful videos online. I hope you figure it out!
