A Floral Dress for Clara: Advance 6118
We call this the Kitchen Curtain Dress because originally the fabric was intended for (wait for it) kitchen curtains. Changed my mind though and made it up into a dress for Clara.
Which has come in handy this spring. Sometimes she wears it with cowboy boots. But only when she wants to be adorable.
It sure came in handy for her Surprise Graduation Party this weekend! More on that to come.

Looks much nicer on Clara than the kitchen window. You're so clever Anna!
I think you and your girls always look adorable, but I was wondering. Do they ever have the urge to just go to American Eagle and buy some jeans & T-shirts? My daughter is about the age of Bella, and she would not want to wear dresses all the time. Just wondering.
Anna, Do you happen to know the name/ / designer/ manufacturer of that print. I think I have a small amount of the same print. I've been trying to find out what it is so I can use it to edge MY kitchen curtains. :)
What a fabulous dress! But you have to have a slim midriff to wear that style ;)
Clara looks gorgeous! Congratulations to her!
Love that dress/ would love to make one !
She is a beautiful young LADY !
She really looks grown up
I love it! That fabric would be lovely as curtains, but it's even lovelier on Clara :)
Alice, the girls have those things already. They wear them whenever they want, which usually translates to when we're picking berries in the bramble patch. I don't make them dress any particular way.
April, I'm sorry I don't know who made the print. I ordered it from sewmamasew several years ago. Good luck finding it!
She is so blessed to have a mamma who can tailor those dresses to her lovely tall figure. It isn't always easy to find tall clothing. My mom sewed dresses for me when I was young. :)
she is just lovely.
I love that in the grand tradition of ladies of great film and literature, you translated (potential!!) curtains into clothing. A la Scarlett O'Hara and Maria Von Trapp. I love it! (We've got some old silk curtains in my bedroom that are wearing thin, but I think I can salvage some for a navy blue skirt for myself or a dress for my one-year old....I've always wanted to do the maria von trapp thing!)
They'd be pretty curtains, but they are even prettier on Clara.
