A Tabby Log Cabin Quilt for Giles
I made a medium-size log cabin quilt for Giles out of linen and cotton from the scrap bins.
And wool--that dark center square is wool suiting.
It's backed with a neutral silk that came from my upholsterer friend. I never thought I'd find a use for it. You never know!
And I never realized that I had worked out a tabby-colored scheme. But Fitzwilliam knew.

I may have asked before: are you stitching with embroidery floss? perle cotton? It looks larger than just thread.
I'm just today working on a project where I want to quilt with perle cotton. I'm guessing I can't use the same rocking hand motion that I do with quilting. . .
Your quilts are so lovely... and inspiring. I have finally worked up the courage to make my first quilt. I hope it comes out as sweet as yours do. Fitzwilliam is so cute.
