I wish our family had your family's metabolism! Our health and waistlines would suffer immensely if we ate half the amount of yummy offerings from the cake lady. I'll have to just brood over the lovely pictures.
Yum! This is my hubby's favorite cake - and he asks for it for his birthday every year ... unless the local strawberries are ripe and than it's the traditional sweet biscuit style strawberry shortcake with lots of real whipped cream!
The colored glass windows reminded me of "Tib's" house. We are reading something really precious I thought Daisy might enjoy. The literary quality is not as high as the "Little House" books, but "The Happy Little Family" books by Rebecca Caudill, republished by Bethlehem books are really lovely and enjoyable about simple family times in a family of 7. Mary Brooke in Atlanta PS, lovely table setting
I am an evangelical Christian. I have two daughters whom I homeschool: Bella (15), and Daisy (8), and three older children: Giles (21), a college graduate, Felix (19), a college junior, and Clara (17), a college freshman. I'm 42 years old and happily married to my Dear Composer. We live in a 1920's school converted into a home, outside of town. And God is good.
Feel free to Pin my photos, but please link back to the page you found them on.
Photography
Photography is an important part of life at my house. Photos that appear here are taken by Giles, by the Composer, and by me. Giles is a real, paid photographer, and he uses a Sony Alpha. Most of the photography prior to September 2008 is his. Since then I have done most of the shooting and I use a Konica Minolta. Additionally, the Composer offers me nice shots on occasion, often from his little Canon point and shoot. I've given up trying to note who's done what. Thanks for your interest!

Looks delicious. And it reminds me of my grandmother - who would put 3 layers together just like you did.

But I have enjoyed your photos of the rest of them as well. ;)
Happy Birthday Felix!
