Vintage Suitcase and Sheet Music

Clara called and asked if I could go up to her room and find a Brahms Sonata in E Minor in "one of the vintage suitcases."

Stop right there. How many degrees of awesome is she? Who has vintage suitcases full of cello music anyway?

Only the *most* awesome.

I'm in love with vintage suitcases. Unfortunately I think so is everyone else so I've never been able to get one at a price that I'm happy with. And I would say amen to your declaration that your Clara is awesome.

Like mother like daughter. Give Clara our best.

Once upon a time in the days before cheap, mass-produced goods, it was very common for households to have old suitcases and trunks of well-seasoned leather that had belonged to grandma or grandpa, hat boxes too and they were often used to store things.

And I thought we were the only family with five children musicians and vintage suitcases full of sheet music. Hope all is well at college, music is a demanding major, but she will do well I'm sure.

How awesome to play this wonderful Brahms Sonata!! Perfect age to study it, also. It will stay with her all her life, and there will always be something new to discover.
