Pink Sewing Basket
I went to the Tiny Town Antique Mall today--they call it antiques, but it's more like fancy thrift store prices, which is how I managed to bring this beautiful sewing basket home for just a few dollars.
I love it for its beautiful details. Sure, there's a flower decal on the lid, but who expected one on the inside bottom? Not me!
Also, there's this removable piece to hold my spools and bobbins. I won't need it when I stuff this basket full of crocheting, but I like it anyway.

Sweet find :)
I have that exact basket in a light robin's egg blue- I love it!
How funny!! I asked for a basket just like this for Christmas, but my dad and stepmom couldn't find one!!! I love these vintage sewing baskets. You really scored!!
it's adorable! That perfect vintage pink, too.
Several years ago my mother gave me the soft green one that she had since she was young. Originally the spool holder came attached to the inside about halfway up. They must come unattached after many years of use.
I think your pink one is amazing.

Perfectly sweet! What a find!

That reminds me so much of something - I had a little thing like that as a child, but quite small. I had forgotten about it!

A few years ago, I bid on several of these on Ebay (and lost). They can be pretty pricey! Great find! Enjoy it! By the way, I really enjoy your blog. It is so full of creativity and it is wholesome.

Just found your beautiful blog. I was looking for a twirly skirt pattern. My 2 granddaughters needed poodle skirts for a sock hop abd your pattern is perfect. It was so easy. I'll show you when I finish.
Score! I have been admiring that particular pink sewing basket for years, but they're usually $40-$50 in my area. Great find!
This is a Princess Sewing Basket -- they are or were highly collectible.
I check the local flea market here(I've been in Tennessee for the last six months taking care of my mother) every weekend hoping to stumble across one of those sewing baskets! Great find!
I have to say my finds here in TN are way better than I ever score back home in Florida.
I have the same basket, found at an antique store and filled with vintage sewing things.
I blogged about it if you're interested.
