A Turquoise Train Case, and Carol's Bears
I was at least twice-lucky on our camping trip--not only did Carol take the kids to the amusement park while I stayed at camp "working" at fixing dinner, I got to go to some thrift stores as well. And lastly, the black bears went through Carol's trash, not mine. Ah, she's my hero.
I would offer her the gorgeous train case I found, but Daisy's already claimed it.

That brings back memories! My grandmother had a similar train case and I'd love to find one of my own, but I don't often see luggage in the secondhand shops here in Europe.
I remember my mother's!
I recognize that train case! It's twin was part of a 2-piece set I received when I graduated from high school over 40 years ago. The case logged many miles before falling apart and being replaced. Even then, with the top missing, it had a second life as a container for doll clothes and an occasional cat bed. Enjoy!

Beautiful train case. What a lucky find. Black bears, well any bear is the reason I no longer go camping. Unless it is at the beach;-)
blessings, jill
I simply MUST get a train case! My mom had a blue one just like that - no chance she kept it. . . .sighhhh
I've been looking for train cases in thrift stores and on ebay. Prices are getting really high on ebay and I haven't seen any in my local thrift stores. I would like to find three of the round ones for my granddaughters. I'd like to decorate them up so that each has their own which they can pack with their things when they come over to stay. An "off to Grandma's house" travel case.
I found my eldest daughter this very case (same colour even) at a thrift store this summer. She uses it to carry her things to work at the library at back on her bike rack. She loves it!
