A Purse to Match the Tablecloth

Our friend and neighbor Lisa has been busy with the overwhelming project of clearing out decades worth of her parents' belongings. When we went over on Sunday to help her move two refrigerators I found a brilliant cerulean purse (carefully stuffed with a 1967 newspaper), and a matching tablecloth. Lisa insisted I take them, which I was glad to do. Also, I was glad that no one broke any bones; moving the fridges was quite an undertaking.

I think I have that tablecloth fabric in my stash!!! I will have to find it and see what I can do with it :-) Love the blues!

That fabric looks familiar to me, too. We must have had something once - a pillow, maybe. hmm

There are matching shoes in a shoebox in the closet!

Donna, you scared me there for a minute--seeing as how I actually left the matching shoes behind in the basement because they weren't my size!

I just remember well my Mom's closet when we went through her things, neatly organized, most everything considered vintage, well taken care of. She was a child of the depression, homemaker, a make do kinda gal!
