Daisy's Cardboard Skyscraper of Cuteness

She found six matching shoeboxes, all with round "windows" already cut out.

And furnished them with little animals and their couches and beds and rugs.

And taped them all together in a skyscraper of cuteness.

The furniture and figurines are lovely, and all made of wood if I'm not mistaken. Wherever did she get them? Everything is plastic nowadays...

This takes me back, I used to love playing with figurines and make houses for them, though I lacked such a skyscraper. Children's imagination is truly a wonderful thing.

so sweet! I'm going to show this to my kids. We let them get Calico Critters, but told them they had to make the furniture and houses and they are constantly intercepting the trash and recycling "for my Calico Critter house."

I bet you and Daisy might like the book Mouse House. I just discovered it over the holiday

I'm impressive of her creatively and spatial conception. Daisy's cardboard skyscraper is lovely and joyful.(Becky from Taiwan)

Calico Critters! I saw them here years ago and our girls love playing with them! They pile them in the camper and loving family vans. Such cuteness. Our youngest son stacks up clementine boxes for play. Happy fresh new year! Mary Brooke

SIX matching shoeboxes - what a treasure! My girls would LOVE that furniture! They, too, are constantly commandeering boxes and other junk for such purposes but have yet to make something quite so lovely....

Calico Critters do need a skyscraper as their houses are never big enough for all their furniture. It looks very cozy and fun.

My daughter was also busy with her Sylvanians (as they are called in Australia) in early January, and had a wonderful arrangement of homes, shops and restaurants spread all over her bedroom floor. But she is 17!
