Ooooo! This is my favorite! I'm surprised because I'm usually drawn to soft colors, muted or neutral palettes, and white white white. But this color-splosion is delicious :)
Hi Anna, A while back I asked you if you would consider posting a pattern for your log cabin quilt. I'm still wanting to try one, and am wondering do you use the strip method? Thanks, Lisa
Lisa, I will try to find a tutorial quite soon that shows how I piece these. It probably is called the strip method--it's a great shortcut, but I haven't looked it up yet.
Beautiful quilt! I would love it if you did post a tutorial. : ) I am so impressed with your color choices and your speed at piecing these quilts. I would love to make one someday!
Since I'm a follower for a long time, I've been keeping track of your quilt projects also. Here are a few "tutorials" from previous posts that some of your readers might find helpful. Just look at the Category list under Quilting and read through the posts...in particular; Oct. 23, 2010, Feb. 25, 2009 and Feb. 21, 2009. I think these are a tremendous help. Thank you so much Anna for sharing your wisdom and experiences with us. Love you beautiful blog.
"quitting for the week", indeed. You're trying to make us think you're done with quilting, when a new week starts tomorrow and who know what quilts you may have up your sleeve? :D
Oh goodness, my heart skipped a beat as my reader said "pleasant View Schoolhouse,Now I'm really done..." I thought Please don't leave ,when I just came back to the blogger world. How happy was I that you had finished another of your beautiful quilts.I don't know if it's because of January but, I too love the color explosion.
It is really lovely. Would you cinsider putting into words what you think about when you are selecting the fabrics and placing the pieces in a quilt such as this one? Thank you for sharing the photos.

I love this one, too, but for the life of me, I don't see how you can arrange the random colors into something beautiful. Amazing!
Now that is beautiful.

Anna, this one might be my all time favorite!!! Absolutely love it. Sally
Gorgeous! Are you quilting for fun, gifts, to use up your stash, or for a cause? Or all of the above? :) christina
This one is brilliant!

So colorful! And the dots look like Morse code.

Oh Anna, I lol when I read "Now I'm Really Done" and saw this post was about quilts. Then I laughed even harder when I read "for the week".
I love your log cabin quilts. You are so talented. Is there a reason you only make log cabin quilts (that is all I've seen so far)?
I love all your log cabin quilts but this is my favorite too. :). I am usually drawn to softer colors but this is just so warm and vibrant.
I'm excited about a tutorial. You are so fast w your lovely quilts while it takes me forever to cut pieces.
