A Festive Library Bag

I think a library book bag should remind the carrier that it's a treat to go to the library. A whole building full of books! And you can take any of them home with you! For free!

Vintage crewel-work panel set in corduroy, lined with bright pink cotton, handle lined with velvet ribbon. In the Etsy shop soon.

Thank you for the inspiration! I am making library bags for my grandchildren for Christmas!

Now that's an idea, to put crewel on a bag. It's so cute!

I am currently reading Alexandra Stoddard's 1000 Ways to See, now I understand why the corduroy works so well with the crewel work.

The other day I came across the San Francisco Saxaphone Quartet who can make four saxophones sound like a small orchestra. I'm quite sure The Composer and Clara would know of them already but in case not ... http://sfsaxquartet.com/

Very nice, but too small for our family. We are in the years of several novels, several science texts, and at least half a dozen children's picture books. They are heavy to haul around! We visit the university library each week just before Youth Orchestra rehearsals.
