Laying Out the Squares
I got my fabric cut into strips, and all the blocks sewn up, and here they are laid out on the floor to be sewn together.
Clara and I got the top pieced on Saturday, and now the ball is in her court to add some embroidery--this will be a wedding gift for a friend of hers.
It's going to be Rose Window.

Your quilts are always so beautiful. The choice of colours is often unexpected, but they always go together really great. Do you only make log cabin quilts?

Anna are you still thrift store shopping for your quilt fabrics? I know your stash must be low after all the lovely things you have made.
Hilde, we mostly make log cabins. They're the perfect balance of planning and spontaneity, and randomness and repetition.
Conie, we are embroidering with three strands of embroidery floss, and using a very tiny stem stitch.
Candace, I did have to stop by the thrift store for two blue shirts to finish this one out. As usual, the men's shirt rack was the perfect place to spend $.50 and piece out the project!
