I took my sad spindly indoor shamrock to a bigger pot and put it outside in deep shade for a couple of weeks. That's all it took to grow by leaps and bounds.
Oxalis regnellii! I love these in spite of their being first cousins to my most hated local weed, oxalis pes-caprae, which holds the Bay Area hostage between December and April.

I once was goin g to throw away a dying fern. My husband grabbed it and planted it. It has been growing and spreading ever since! Christina
