Scraping Out the Scrap Bin

My goal was to use up every single three-inch square that had been hanging around in my bin for ages. I used to cut huge quantities of these for my scrap quilts, but then I switched to strips, and was left with the less-desirable leftover squares.

I threw them ALL together and kind of like what came out. It's a large crib size (one day soon all these little quilts will go in my shop, with measurements).

Now I'm working on using up all my cut *strips*. And wouldn't you know it, there were a few squares lurking around in that bin. I'll make a hotpad with them.

Ah! I remember that dress - the raspberry and dark chocolate print from years ago. Did you cut it up, or is this just extra fabric?

What a sweet little quilt. I love how productive you are with each day! You seem to bring these quilts together fairly quickly. Can you share your method for cutting and piecing together quilts like this and/or your strips quilt? Or do you a have a link to a past post where you shared this? I always look forward to seeing the beauty you've found in your week. Thank you for blogging and inspiring. CM homeschooling mom of 4... :)

Confession time: I like the squares better than the log cabin style. I think this is precious.
