I missed my Tuesday night painting session but hopped over after lunch today, to find that someone had left a bouquet of sunflowers set up. I started this piece, using black canvas which I find strangely compelling.
I like it! Makes me long for summer and the big sunflowers I like to plant along the fenceline (which invariably serve as a snack for cows, but they're pretty while they last...). So cheery for February.
Feel free to Pin my photos, but please link back to the page you found them on.
Photography
Photography is an important part of life at my house. Photos that appear here are taken by Giles, by the Composer, and by me. Giles is a real, paid photographer, and he uses a Sony Alpha. Most of the photography prior to September 2008 is his. Since then I have done most of the shooting and I use a Konica Minolta. Additionally, the Composer offers me nice shots on occasion, often from his little Canon point and shoot. I've given up trying to note who's done what. Thanks for your interest!

You're so talented! I really love the sunny color!
Gorgeous!
I love sunflowers. They are one of the prettiest flowers you can have in a home as far as I am concerned.
Sunny view and thoughts for the last weeks of winter. Well done! Glad to see you back. Thank you for sharing.
I love the concept of painting white over black. It seems perfectly fitting for sunflowers.
That's beautiful!
Good work!
