A Sunday Evening Re-Entry

Five years ago without planning to, I drifted away from this blog, as our family moved into a season of almost constant change, almost all of it very good--grandchildren arriving, grown children buying and selling homes, moving hither and yon, starting businesses, starting various schools, graduating, the Schoolhouse turning into an empty nest, and (if you have a fine eye for detail and saw my header), my entry, along with two of my children, into the Catholic Church. For the record, no Catholic/Protestant conflict here :)

The Composer and I continue to live very happily at the Schoolhouse, doing our things! He works, volunteers, watches the world, and keeps the ship upright, and I work a little, walk a lot, plant flowers, go to Mass, drool over grandchildren, and paint most days of the week.

I'm returning to this space to get back to sharing my creative endeavors! The nature of Life Online has changed so that I no longer feeling comfortable feeding the beast with much family info: so while I wish I could share ALL about kids and grandkids, discretion demands otherwise.

But if you're interested in artwork*, the occasional sewing project, recipe, or garden snippet, hang around!

*see Etsy shop shortly!

What a delight to see this entry pop up in my blog feed after all these years! Your crispy chicken pieces marinated in tamari/orange juice/etc. have remained a staple in our home all these years. Looking forward to seeing your creative endeavors.

Oh my goodness! How wonderful to see this pop up! I actually thought about you last week and said a prayer for you and your family!!! I think about all of your children grown and moving on with life and was hoping to see some lovely posts from you sometime. Yes, indeed, this is a good thing.
Our life has changed also, we have moved back (from PA) to our home state of Ohio and our son and his family have also moved back (from Florida), so we are now within 6 minutes of each other!
Will look forward to anything you have to share with us. I also look back at previous posts for an idea or two.

Anna, I never removed you from my feed reader, and my wishful thinking has finally paid off. I'm here for whatever you choose to share in this lovely new stage of your life. Your blog has been a huge influence on me over the years, and while I've still referenced it in your absence, I am overjoyed that you have come out of hibernation!

Welcome back Anna! So happy to see your post pop up last night in my feed. I am sure I am not the only former reader who has missed you! So very excited to have you back and also so excited to hear of your entry into the Catholic Church. As a fellow convert there is so much I want to say but I’ll just extend a warm and joyful welcome! Looking forward to hearing all about the creative things you’ve been up to in your time away.

I don't read blogs as often as I used to, but as I had some time while visiting with my newborn first grandchild I was surprised to see a post from you! My life has changed a lot in the last 5 years, too, so I can relate. We have an almost empty nest except for that college senior. Beautiful painting and welcome home to the Church!!

How lovely to see your new posts. I totally agree that the online has changed and I often think about posting on my blog but just don't. I'm sure the blogging community that we all felt comfortable in is still there but it's the nastiness outside that is troubling.

On a cold, slow, Sunday morning I have frequently clicked through your blog. So imagine my surprise on this cold, slow, Sunday morning when I saw you were back!

So happy you’re posting again!! You were always one of my regulars that I enjoyed, and I have missed your inspiring content! I always checked back on occasion to see if you happen to be on again. I started reading your blog when my children were small, and yours were very young. Now, time marches on and we are a family full of big kids that are starting to fly the coop. Hoping you’ll be posting regularly from now on as I do so enjoy your feed. Welcome back!

Fascinated with what brought you to the Catholic Church! More surprised at that than at your return from 5 years of silence, honestly!
