Yesterday I had court in Tiny Town, which is always a treat-- a beautiful drive with the children along, barbecue for lunch if we have time, and most importantly, the Tiny Town Antique Mall.
Yesterday I had fifteen minutes and one twenty dollar bill. I did good.
The world's best vintage tablecloth. Generously sized, pristine condition, delicate Christmas motifs, and it cost seven dollars:
My other find was the pink Pyrex bowl. Here it sits beside a green bowl I already own for comparison purposes, so I can enjoy seeing how it's just the same, only pink! I have a whole shelf full of these green bowls, and am delighted with new one. I use them *all* the time--for mixing, serving, melting butter, everything. I run them through the dishwasher and let the kids sling them around, so I'm always on the lookout for backups. Practical and beautiful.
You hit the "fifteen minutes and one twenty dollar bill" JACKPOT, woman!!!
ReplyDeleteEnvy, followed by hearty congratulations!

The pink was my mother's mixing bowl!! I learned to bake EVERYTHING in that bowl. The "little" one from the set was our poodles water bowl!!!! How cool!
ReplyDeleteMy mom used to have those bowls when I was growing up. They were mixing bowls nested together with the largest being yellow, then pink, green and blue?. They weathered the exact same way yours have, and your pictures bring back fond memories!
ReplyDeleteI really like that pink bowl, what a neat find! My kitchen/dining room and living room are decorated in pinks and greens.
ReplyDeleteI have been reading your blog for some time but this is my first comment. Your blog is one of my favorites.

Hey Anna,
ReplyDeleteI love seeing your finds from Tiny Town! It makes me what to find a Tiny Town and treasure hunt! :0)
Have a great day!
My Granny owned that same green mixing bowl. It now resides in my kitchen. My fondest memories are whipping up real mashed potatoes in that bowl. Today it's used for anything and everything.
ReplyDeleteExcellent finds!
The haze on the two mixing bowls is probably the result of trips to the dishwasher. I quit putting my older bowls in the machine when my daughter noticed that my own bowl were getting hazy looking. We do not mind hand washing them at all.
