Respite Saturday Pleasures

My brother Matt and his wife were here all afternoon, and forced us to leave and have fun. Okay!

• A trip to the running shoe store. A running outfit for Bella, royal blue and white. We're running tomorrow--be there or be square!

• Hamburgers for lunch. Milkshakes.

• A walk past a pond full of croaking frogs.

• A glimpse of Daisy and my mother having a chocolate party on the bed. Stuffed bunnies. Teacups.

• Seeing Matt bringing in an load of logs to build a fire for Nanny.

• Finishing a skirt hem. The satisfaction of a completed project.

  3. Anna,
I have been reading and enjoying your lovely blog for some time now. We share many of the same interests and loves. But it is this time of ministering to your mother and grandmother that has truly blessed me, and I wanted to tell you that.
I know the time is coming when I will be called on to minister in the same way. I pray I will do it with your grace and love.
I'm going to be praying for you.

  9. Sounds like your day was just what you needed. What a blessing it must have been.
I helped my Dad when my Mom was in hospice care, while caring for 4 children. The Lord really does give us the strength exactly when we need it!
