New Markers

Giles brought the Expensive Markers home from college, now that Color Theory is over. Boy are we enjoying them here!

Every day Daisy completes many, many coloring pages printed off the internet (oh the boundless riches of mermaids, fairies, princesses, and roses!) with .3 mm artist markers. She always puts the lid back on when she's done with a color. She likes to keep warm and cool separate.

And if you were here, she would invite you to color with her.

  1. Aw, how cute! And how well she's caring for them--even keeping them organized!

  2. I would gladly color with Daisy! I love coloring with my grandbabies; coloring is such a cozy, thoughtful activity! Down on the floor and close together 'cuz we have to share the colors.
Are Daisy and Giles coloring together?
So sweet that he brought them home to share.

  3. If Daisy invited me I would happily colour with her. It's such a therapeutic activity. And ageless. What better way to spend time with a gorgeous little girl, than to colour in together.

  7. Dear Anna,

We have a little art shop and methinks I am familiar with those markers. I hope you have had/are having a lovely Thanksgiving.

  8. Staedtler Triplus? You can tell Miss Daisy there is a lady in Wisconsin who uses them for her Bible study markers!

Coloring is one of my favority activities to this day.

  9. My daughter spent hours and hours (years) coloring. She loved coloring pages and books.

I always heard they stunt your creativity but she went on to get a B. A. in Interior Design.

    She's still creative today.

Unfortunately, her children have to use crayons because her David (5 yrs. old) is allergic to the "fumes" from markers! Pity.

Happy Thanksgiving and have a wonderful time having Giles home.

  10. There is nothing better than a great set of art supplies! I love the better quality markers and pencil crayons.

Did you know that you can turn your photos into colouring pages quite easily? We use a free photo editing program called Digikam and I'm planning to make some colouring pages for my children with family photos.

P.S. I'm having a Christmas giveaway on my blog this week - a hand embroidered ornament I recently designed. The contest is open to anyone and I would love it if you or any of your readers popped by and entered!

  12. So soothing, that little activity of arranging the markers in their little cozy sleeves. I remember studying each new pack of markers I got, trying to figure out why they put certain colors together. Sounds like Daisy is ahead of the curve, already picking out warm and cool colors. Are ALL of your children artistic?
