I found several yards of *unusual* fabric the other day at the thrift shop. Sort of Shabby Chic Batik, if you will. I love that these white flowers on mustard yellow are enlivened by big splashes of hot pink, which I see is not really evident on the front side of this garment. Anyway, I had fun sewing up a new vintage pattern. I love this variation of the cobbler's apron because of the shaped neckline, the inset waistband (which is trimmed!), and the flare to the skirt. See it here in my
etsy shop!

ReplyDeleteOoh. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI think that fabric would look great against the brown sofa I'm saving up for.
Got any left?
Oh that is SO CUTE!
ReplyDeleteI like the style. It's looked delicate! You always did a good job.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, Happy New Year to you and your family.

I went to your etsy and the apron wasn't there. The mustard with white flowers. I want to buy it. Please don't sell it to anyone else. my email is lilahuggins@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteLila, sorry when it disappears from the shop that means it has sold. Thanks for looking though.

ReplyDeleteHave you read the book, The Gentle Art of Domesticity? If not, I think you would enjoy it.
