Vanilla cake layers, strawberry jam in between, vanilla buttercream frosting. And Daisy has a new set of dishes from her grandmother: the much-boasted of (by Daisy) "Charlotte" pattern from Royal Doulton. Just when I thought she couldn't get any fancier.
wow, she had china for all the children? Where did she gather them from? How neat to use them now. Do you have a special place to store them until they are on their own? Cake looks delicioso! Christina
Hi Anna, I'm the Mommy with 5 little ones that enjoys your blog so. This china is lovely and won't look dated. We use our Royal Doulton Bunnykins china regularly (not daily, but a lot). We enjoy a weekly tea time for our art print study. I'm considering a Portmeirion birds teapot (new) and older bird china teacups (love Felix').
Also, I love reading my daughter Eloise Wilkin's "We Help Mommy"...love Martha and Bobby. You see I've been reading your blog.
No, I don't have much time and your blog is a sweet encouragement to me of excellent and praiseworthy thing. I am so thankful to be home with my family. Mary Brooke

What a beautiful china pattern! Lucky Daisy! The cake looks amazing Anna! Is the frosting store bought, or did you make it? I'll bet it's delicious!
Oh how delightful! Both the cake and the china. Does your mom get these dishes as sets, or does she pick them up individually to make a set?
That is such a pretty little plate and what is on it is even better!
Daisy has impeccable taste.
