Goodness! I made two of those crewel embroidery pieces myself years ago. I dug them out and hung them in my daughters' bathroom when we repainted it years ago. They look so nice there. Have never tired of them.
I am a lover of crewel work as well and love the ones you find! I have been following your blog for a while and really enjoy it. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and photography. There is a sense of peace and beauty about them.
I love those shaggy ferns. I have one with shaggy pine trees. :)

Those are awfully cute!
ReplyDeleteI think that last one looks so real...I almost thought it was a photograph at first! You have such an eye for beauty, Anna.
ReplyDeleteI just pulled out all the "unfinished projects" and discovered the little crewel pictures still undone. You've inspired me to get going!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I hope to have more needle as decoration around the house soon, it is so artistic and friendly.
ReplyDeleteIlove the fern, it is just awesome, I have a crewel piece that I had done about 30 years ago and it would be nice framed. Thanks for sharing. XO MARY
