An Easy Thrifted Hat Stand

I was thinking how nice it would be if I could find cheap, cute hatstands for Daisy's collection of knitted, crocheted, and wool hats and caps. Like, what if they were in every thrift store for a quarter a piece--wouldn't that be nice?

Especially if they were already a flaky creamy color? In just the right size for her dresser?

They were right there in front of me all the time: candle stands. Use as is, or use this simple tutorial for a stuffed pincushion (sew it on upside down with strong thread) for a nice stuffed top.

  5. Hello! I have been reading your blog for some time, but this is my first comment. I just wanted to say that I always enjoy what I read, and the pictures are works of art!I also think you have beautiful daughters! I saw that video of your daughter singing, and I thought angels were singing! It was so beautiful.

I have a blog as well, though, not nearly to the standards of yours, and if you would grace me with your presence,I would love it if you stopped by,even just once, to http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/niremc13/

  7. What a great idea. I'll be on the lookout for candle holders now. Thank you for all your great ideas. I have enjoyed reading your blog for some time and I finally made the leap myself at Yellow Shoe Day. Thanks for the great inspiration. My favorite idea so far was when you suggested making an apron out of those 1980's linen baggy dresses. I did it and I love it! I plan on sharing it my my site this week.
    Thanks

  9. Brilliant! I am so thankful to you for this tip! I have a large collection of hats and have been hunting for hat hooks for the wall and/or stands for ages. Most of them are banished to boxes in my closet so far so this will allow them to be presented in all their splendor. THANKS!
