I knew the moment I saw this $1 lamb I'd buy it for the sitting room. My surface thought was that the black and white would go with the black and white checked floor.
Of course, when I got home, I saw that I had already hung this paint by number, and all became clear.
Blessings to you and yours in this new school year! I just love your lamb! I have one of my own that my 1st grade teacher gave to me when ill with the chicken pox. It is one of my most treasured things to own. Unlike a thing, Christ is the only thing worth owning!
I love your little lamb, Anna! If you find his twin, will you get him for me? My room is painted hydrangea green and hung with old framed English pastoral scenes, and he would feel quite at home, I think!
Brings to mind Blake's Songs of Innocence:
Little lamb, who made thee? Dost thou know who made thee, Gave thee life, and bade thee feed By the stream and o’er the mead; Gave thee clothing of delight, Softest clothing, wooly, bright; Gave thee such a tender voice, Making all the vales rejoice? Little lamb, who made thee? Dost thou know who made thee?
Little lamb, I’ll tell thee; Little lamb, I’ll tell thee: He is called by thy name, For He calls Himself a lamb, He is meek, and He is mild, He became a little child; I a child, and thee a Lamb, We are called by His Name. Little lamb, God bless thee! Little lamb, God bless thee!
gave me chills when I reached the last photo. Lovely.
My dad has a little plastic lamb that he got in Sunday School as a child for good attendance. Its legs were broken and glued by my grandmother and he was surprised to find it among her possessions when she died. My children ask to hold it when they see my parents and it is so so so sweet to me.
I thought you should know that you were the impetus for my own paint-by-number Jesus collection. They hang in my kitchen and are one of the first things I put up after a recent move.

Ah, yes ~ He is the perfect lamb!
Welcome back!
What a beautiful reminder that we are in God's hands...
I need that right now.
That really explains it all...
Perfect!
I am so captivated by those vintage paint by number pieces. Lovely - both!
Perfectly clear! So glad you're back, Anna.
I'm so glad you still have that Jesus - I had wondered.
