Piecing some lavender curtains for my bedroom windows. Somehow I thought this would be a small job, but actually it's almost as many squares as a twin-size quilt.
However, there will be no quilting. Just adding a lining, and a little hand-sewn topstitching around the edge. Then pictures.
Oh, it looks just lovely! Can't wait to see them on the windows!

Those are beautiful! Oh Anna I so want to do patchwork but I am nowhere near ready for quilting. But maybe I could make curtains? I need some in the kitchen.

Lovely. Look forward to the pictures.
ReplyDeleteI've been making curtains this late winter - rectifying my earlier mistakes when I thought curtains didn't take much fabric. ha. They take A LOT. Actually, I just posted on laundry room curtains that I made with 1970s PRINTED patchwork - a lot faster than the real thing :)
I have wanted to do this for a while! Love it.
ReplyDeleteI have always planned to do this for myself. This may be the inspiration I needed to finally get to it!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your patchwork curtains. I've been dreaming of flying geese curtains for years but have never attempted it.
ReplyDeleteWow. Those are so pretty!
