I like it! Reminds me of something timeless from the 70's as opposed to those scratchy acrylic orange, brown, red, and yellow, and green granny afghans I remember growing up in the 80's.
Some people think me boring, but these are my favourite colours. I find them so warm. I have a pile of thrifted wool squirreled away for a winter quilt. You have inspired me to get on it! Thanks!
Ah ha! I thought it was so lovely the other day! Not sure about where the other ladies are from... I would like to be enjoying the "lettuce", while looking & admiring the lovely quilt! :) My hubby is from Alabama & we are in nippy Wisconsin....So we could use the 'fall-ish' colors. We are hopeful & praying soon spring will be here to stay! Have had a lil-taste yesterday? Beautiful work on the quilt & Owl! Blessings~ ~Lori
Anna, i have very little quilting experience, but would love to know if you actually stitch all the little squares together individually. or is there any easier way to do this? i have many scraps saved for such a purpose...someday. thanks so much!
I love this! I was admiring it in the background in your owl post :D
ReplyDeleteI also love picking out fabrics from clothing you've made, such as one of Daisy's winter dresses.
It's Autumn here, so I just want to steal away and curl up under your quilt!
Perfect for where I live. It's Autumn here.
ReplyDeleteI noticed it behind the owl too. It does look very autumnal which is appropriate for me right now too.

ReplyDeleteNever would have put grey together with brown, but it works...

ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely color combination! It will be so lovely to bring out in the fall (once the "freshness" wears off of course) :)
