"The Other Loaves"

"The odor of the fresh bread was floating all about her. On the clean new shelf that ran across one side of the kitchen stood the other loaves across their pans to cool, beside the sponge cake and pies."

  3. I have begun using your recipe, being sure to not shy away from hot water for the yeast - and every time they turn out beautifully!

  6. Across their *pans* to cool... of course! I struggle with finding space on my counter for the cooling racks, but no more. Thank you!

  7. I am reading Honor Girl right now! I just finished Silver Wings. I absolutly adore all of Mrs. G.L. Hill quotes!

I suppose I shouldn't put a bread recipe up and use that quote now! ;) Looks like you beat me to it!

I bet your house smelt fabulous. Enjoy.

  9. Oh lovely bread! Appreciate the quote too. I am in the process of waiting for my weekly batch to rise so I can go to bed... it is late here and I wish now I had started my bread earlier in the day. I must say, it is a job I deeply love... making all my families bread that is.
