Felix is halfway through his month in Costa Rica and it has been rich with birds. Thirty--thirty!!--life bird on this trip, including a cloud of scarlet macaws right beside his hiking trail.
Pff. I found a cloud of gray parrots in my own sitting room today.
Anna, have you ever watched the Masterpiece Theatre series entitled "Doctor Finlay"? I'm not sure, but *maybe* one of Frederick's kin had a small part in Vol. 3, Disc 1, Episode 3 at about 12:36, and then again at about 49:25. Our local public library has the series. Maybe yours does too? Buttercup
ReplyDeleteWhere is the "like" button? :-) I am most fond of Frederick.
ReplyDeleteSeeing those exotic birds flying nearby must be so wild!

Wow 30 birds on your life list in one trip!! Birder's heaven! My dad is a lifelong birder and I think he's in the 700s. Felix will probably pass him up though if not already because dad hasn't really expressed any desire to leave the states. He has been to Alaska though. I think that was his favorite trip of all time!
ReplyDeletehello there, frederick!!
ReplyDeleteJust lst week when reading your blog I found myself wondering how Frederick was doing. :)
ReplyDeleteHere is a link to my dad's flickr page. I found out he has 715 birds on his life list and he likes to take photos of birds so Felix may like to check them out. http://www.flickr.com/photos/35117107@N07/
ReplyDeleteHere is a link to my Uncle Ron's photo galleries. He takes amazing photos of birds! He and my dad go on birding trips together.
