Birthday Boy with a Birthday Banjo
Felix has been interested in a banjo for a while now. I suggested he wait til after his birthday to buy himself one. I hope he didn't suspect . . . .
It is nice to hear an entirely new sound around the house. I love this, we all do!

Farrah, he's teaching himself! His how-to book was written in the 60s (I think it's Pete Seeger) and has great references to trying to get ahold of an ancient home reel-to-reel film camera so that you can watch some banjo-playing instructional movies.

Very cool! My youngest son is teaching himself the piano. I've forgotten since I was taught 20 years ago. Music is very much if you don't use it, you lose it. I hope Felix enjoys his new "toy"!
Love it! The banjo is a great instrument to learn to play. It always makes me happy to hear--I guess that's due to my Appalachian roots. Happy birthday to Felix, and have fun learning to play!!
Anna, I haven't popped in to your world for a long while, but now that I have am excited to see Felix with a banjo. Carter and Elijah play as well. I really love the sound of one.
