It's the last part of the summer, when no one has the time or inclination to swim except for Daisy and me. We have a standing pool date for 4:15 every afternoon, when it's shady enough to skip the sunscreen. We have a lot of races, slap at wasps with the wacky noodles, then come inside to cook dinner.
Fun way to spend the afternoon! Can I come play? ;)
ReplyDeleteWe are maxing it out here too! Wish we could blink and join you.

ReplyDeleteAnd you thought you could trick me with 'wacky noodle'! I know what you hit the wasps with, Google told me so. :)
ReplyDeleteOhh such a fun, sweet way to cool off in the heat of the afternoon!!
ReplyDeleteI believe Daisy will treasure these dates forever in her mind. My mom did not have time for dates. As a single mom raising 4 teenagers angry from divorce, she did the best she could. At 76, my mom and I have dates...times when I can take her out to lunch, but sadly she now suffers from Dementia. It takes alot of strength not to get frustrated when she asks the same question 5 times, within a 15 minute period. I am sorry if this sounds like a downer moment, but it really is heartwarming to me that you and Daisy have this set time. Guard it carefully.
ReplyDeleteblessings, jill
Maybe you should have named your water-baby "Lily". ;-)
